You get the outcome. We do the work.

For organisations who want it handled

Not every organisation wants to become an expert in composting. Some just want the problem solved — properly, responsibly, and without it becoming another thing on the to-do list. That's exactly what managed operations is for.

Little Buddies takes full ownership of your on-site organic waste system. We find the right location on your property, handle the consent process, design and build the system, and then operate it day to day. You get a solution that works and a story you can tell your investors and stakeholders — without the learning curve.

What's included

Every managed operation is scoped to the client's specific situation, but typically covers site location and assessment, council consent management, system design and build, ongoing day-to-day operation, end product management including vermicast and compost output, and regular reporting so you always know how the system is performing.

The end product matters

One of the things that makes vermiculture particularly powerful is what comes out the other end. Vermicast — the output from a well-run worm farm — is a rich, living soil conditioner that has real value.

Where possible, we work to connect the end product with local farmers and landowners who can put it back into the soil. That closes the loop in a way that a landfill simply can't.

Right for larger operations

Managed operations works best for organisations generating consistent volumes of organic waste — hospitality groups, food manufacturers, large commercial properties, and significant landowners.

If you're not sure whether your operation is a fit, get in touch and we'll give you a straight answer.
